Sometimes things in life just fall into place.
My neighbor just got home from caring for her sister. Her visit started with an “I don’t feel so well” from her sister, but ended up in a liver transplant. Her sister’s lingering illness, liver failure, 6 months to live diagnosis, and organ transplant all fell into place perfectly just before Christmas. How did a perfect donor, a willing, live-in caretaker (my neighbor was able to stay 6 weeks), and a doctor who is skilled with the surgery all happen to be right there at once?
Luck? Coincidence? I don’t believe in either.
Grace? Blessing? Destiny? Yes. All three. He has something planned for my neighbor’s sister.
This is an extreme situation of course. Think about it though, we ALL have such situations and needs in each of our lives. We may not be in exactly the same boat as she is, but we’re each in a boat all the same.
Each of us has a defining moment when things get hard. Sometimes they seem impossible. Often they can be life or death. It’s how we go forward through them that defines our character, our purpose.
Meet it head on, whatever it is.
You can do anything you set your mind to. All you have to do is believe in your dream, and yourself.
Let your strength, capability, and courage define you. Forget fear. (It’s a smokescreen that distracts us from reality.)
Hoping your weekend was wonderful and that you shared a smile or 5 with someone special!
Much love to you and the fam! Talk with you tomorrow, my amazing friend! XO
